Ireland’s O’Callghan wins 15th Italian Open

Racquetball Italia celebrated a great comeback last weekend after a 2-year break because of the pandemic with the 15th Italian Open which were held, as usual in Brembate, near Bergamo. Ireland’s no. 1 player Noel O’Callaghan defeated country mate Padraic Ryder in the final 15-12, 15-2, while Ryder succeeded in the doubles final together with Germany’s Mike Mesecke against the Bolivian team Richar Bautista and Henry Angulo Riva with 15-4, 15-8. Elder Mabel Vela (Bolivia) defeated Adela Cordova (Bolivia) 15-13, 15-8 in the ladies final.
