
Impressive win for Marcel Czempisz at German Open in Hamburg
What an impressive return to the European Racquetball scene for Marcel Czempisz! One of Germany’s top talents returns to the scene at the 2017 German Open with a straight 2-game (15-3, 15-5) victory aganst defending champion Arne Schmitz in the final and another success before against European Champion Oliver Bertels with 15-14, 15-7 in the semi final. Schmitz himself won against José Pauta from Ecuador in the semis with 15-12, 11-15, 11-8. In doubles, defending champions Oliver Bertels and Arne Schmitz claimed another success by defeating Christopher und Marcel Czempisz 15-5, 15-6. Lara Ludwig (Hamburg) defeated Renate Hartmann (Barsbüttel) in the ladies final 15-5, 15-13.
