Ireland has defended it’s European Ladies Team title against Team Germany. The Irish squad defeated the team from Germany by winning both singles and the doubles match. It is the 13th win for the Irish ladies in the European Team Championships. On the mens side, host country Germany defeated Team Ireland in the two very close 5-game singles matches, while losing the doubles match. It is Germany’s eigth Mens Team title, with Ireland also having eight titles Italy placed third on the mens team.
