With the European Championships 2017 now in the history books, a huge thank you has to go to all players and participants for competing in our EURO 2017 in The Hague, Netherlands. It was a remarkable and joyful event in many ways, a great success for European Racquetball.

Big thanks again to the Netherlands Racquetball Association, Erik and Peter, for their willingness to host the event. It was especially great that we had live stream available and from what one could see, it was well received on the internet. Thanks also to the Westvliet Fitness- and Racketclub for their hospitality and services. It’s a great club and the ERF hopes to return at some point in the near future.

Thanks also to Ken Fife for taking great pictures of our event and players. We have seen some on Facebook already and with about 10.000 pics on his hard drives we can hope for great material already.

The ERF had held it’s annual meeting in The Hague as well. With all ERF officers being re-elected for another 2-year-term there was also the chance to welcome two new young additions to our efforts and we thank Katie Kenny (Ireland) for joining us a new Ladies Development Officer and Johnny O’Keeney (Ireland) as our new Junior Development Officer. The ERF thanks both of them for their willingness to step forward.

Time is running fast and the next events in Europe are just around the corner. One of them are the Hamburg Open in October but there is more. It is hoped to have a complete calendar available soon and all countries and members are asked to submit their tournament dates for the next season as soon as possible.
