Klippel wins German Open

Klippel wins German Open 2013 Germany’s Martin Klippel is the winner of the 2013 German Open that were held in Hamburg for the 32nd time. Klippel defeated last year’s champion Trevor Meyer in the final 10-15, 15-5, 11-5 to claim his 8th German Open singles title.

Hamburg’s Lara Ludwig claimed her first Women’s Open title in this German Open by defeating Cathryn Mahoney (USA) 15-12, 15-3 in the final. In doubles, current European Champions Trevor Meyer and Joachim Loof defeated Arne Schmitz und Oliver Bertels 15-13, 5-15, 11-5.
